I knew Shannon and took him to oneof my favotite secretspots in the San Jacinto mountains, to hopehe would find one of our local Zonata, his favorite species, along with another friend who is also gone far too soon, Russel Koepp.
He was enthusiastic, focussed, and a bit competitive when it came to rock flipping and a successful hunt. His stories of road hunting west Texas are seared in my mind. Happy hunting my friend.

Dear Bonnie and family.
It doesn't seem like it's been 8 years since Shannon was taken fromus. I will always remember how much he loved bowling and was so great at it. He was a kind person and loved his family. I know the years fly by but for a mom you will never stop missing the children you have lost. I pray the comfort and peace of the Lord cover you daily but especially during this time of remembering Shannon and his life here with you and all those who knew him. The Lord bless you and keep you in His arms of love and care always. With Love Ellen Chinzi.

I remember Shannon in Chanfant Valley when he ran around with Keith Riggins gatering snakes and putting them in cagesand having fun doing it.My son only being 6yrs oldI had to call ShannonTo tell him come fast to our houseBecause Tom had been taking a napand their was a sidewinder snake under the carpet. He got it and I was forever thanking him for doing this for me. I first met Shannon more than 35 years ago, soon after moving to Bishop. He eventually became my friend, as we shared so many common interests. Shannon, I will remember your smile and patience, your joy of watching others gain enthusiasm for things you were to passionate about, to my dying day. You were my mentor, in so many ways.
