I was blessed and honored to have the opportunity to meet and dine with General Basion throughout the last 20 years as he and my parents routinely visited and maintained a close relationship. He was a great man and his distinguished career serves to show what an asset to our country he truly was. Our family will miss you, General Bastion!

I served as Aide-de-Camp to General Bastion 1958-60 while assigned to the Fourth Armored Division in Germany. It was both an honor and pleasure and we experienced a close relationship with he and Louise through the years. Along with his passing goes a lot of history that covered almost a century. Eddie will be sorely missed as he was always dapper, chipper and witty to the core. We were fortunate to visit with him last on March 15,2009. YOU WERE THE BEST ABOVE THE REST!!! God Bless You General.
