Judith Anderson Obituary

Judith Marian Anderson Dec 1st 1938 - July 18th 2013
Our precious Judy went to be with her Lord on July 18th 2013. She was born to Esther Foiada Keown and Roy Woodrow Keown on Dec 1st 1938 in Fresno, CA. Even though Judy came from a long line of Italian-Swiss farmers, she always wanted to teach. She received her degree from Fresno State University and later was certified to teach Special Education. One of Judy's first assignments was teaching migrant farm working children in the small community of McFarland, CA. She spent the next 20 years teaching from Fresno to Bakersfield, CA. Moving to the Inland Empire in the early 80's, she taught "special day class" at Valle Vista Elementary School, Rancho Cucamonga until her retirement in 2002. Needing a change of pace, she joined "Close To MY Heart" as a card and scrapbook consultant. While honing her craft she started her own small business "Heartfelt Expressions" making hand made cards and other paper items. Judy was a published poet, former member of 'Toastmasters", belonged to "Leads" Women's Club and an Embassador to "Rancho Cucamonga Chamber of Commerce". She is survived by her loving husband, of 23 years, Craig, sons, Kevin, Matthew and Paul. Step-daughter, Kim. Daughters-in-law, Stacey and Devi, granddaughters, Adrian, Dellisa and Dusty, great-grandchildren, Genesis, Livia, Jordan and Isaiah. Judy's husband, family and friends can all attest to the fact that she was a very talented, headstrong, independent woman that marched to the beat of her own drummer, and will be sorely missed by all. A "Celebration of Life: will be had at the Stone Funeral Home's Chapel in Upland on Saturday, Aug 3rd at 2:00pm. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the charity of your choice.

You have been gone a year now. So many times I have wanted to talk with you, get your opinion, get your advice, get your hugs. I miss your laughter, your funny ways, funny quirks. I love you Judy Anderson! Craig misses you so much yet I see him making strides at not just grieving. He is living his life the best he can without you, which isn't easy for him.

It is with deep sadness I said, "Good bye" to my dear friend, Judy. My life won't be the same without her humor, wit, love and friendship. She touched my life in ways that goes beyond words and my life was changed for the better. I know we will meet again in heaven and that gives me comfort.
