William Etchason Obituary

William David "Dave" Etchason passed away on February 23, 2008 in Palm Springs, CA. Dave was born in Lindsay, CA on October 29, 1924. He is survived by his three children, Gary Etchason of Upland, CA, Kathleen Guzinski of Half Moon Bay, CA and James Etchason (daughter-in-law, Lorrie Etchason) of Palm Springs, CA. He was predeceased by his wife of 41 years, Marian Etchason. He has eight grandchi ldren, Jason Etchason, Sean Etchason, Lynette Guzinski, Ryan Guzinski, Nicole Guzinski, Stefan Guzinski, Cory Etchason and David Etchason. He was in the United States Navy during WW II and served in the Pacific. He was a resident of Palm Springs CA for the last seven years, but was a long-time resident of Upland, CA and practiced law at the corner of Euclid and "F" Street in Ontario for over forty years. He was one of the most respected and beloved attorneys in the Inland Valley. His contributions to the local community were many, having been a member and past president of the San Bernardino County Bar Association and the Western San Bernardino County Bar Association; President of the Upland Rotary Club and the attorney for the Chaffey College Trust for more than 35 years. He was a life member of the Ontario Salvation Army Board of Directors, the American Legion and the California State Bar Association. He was known for his quiet and unselfish community service. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, M arch 4, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Forest Lawn, 69855 E. Ramon Rd., Cathedral City, CA. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to St. George's Catholic Church, Ontario, CA in remembrance of Dave and Marian Etchason. Forest Lawn Cathedral City is in charge of arrangements.
