William L. "Bill" Smith

Smith, William L. "Bill" Of Jackson MI, passed away on March 23, 2017 at the age of 59 with his family by his side. Bill was born on July 5, 1957 to William L. and Alma Smith in Jackson, MI. He was a Master Journeyman Carpenter by trade and was a member of the Carpenters Union Local 687. Our father was a gifted carpenter and artist, loved martial arts, and loved to dance. Bill is survived by his children, Torrance L. Parker, Pienell Spiller Jr., Teyani D. Parker, Eric Smith, and Anthony Smith; former wife, Reather Renee' Smith, significant other, Gale Bonner; father, William L. Smith Sr.; siblings, Patricia Renti and Linda Stockard; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends. He is preceded in death by his mother, Alma Smith and brother, Robert Stanley. Per his wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration visitation of Bill's life will be held on Friday, March 31, 2017 from 10:00 am until 12:00pm at the funeral home. The Smith family would like to thank the Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice for all the care they gave Bill during his short illness. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to charity of one's choice.
