Dot was a memorable gal back in the good old days of simplicity for us teenagers. Those of us who read this will know how it went with the old gang. Our ranks have thined a little but we still have our memories.

Lori, Connie and Sudeep, and Beth, All of our thoughts and prayers go out to you. We are sorry for your loss, especially so near this holiday. Your mom was always a special person who deeply loved her family. She was never shy about her love for all of you and always spoke out to protect you all. You can always remember her loving heart each year when Valentine's day comes around. Our best wishes and special prayers for strength and comfort for you all during this difficult time.

My memories of Dorothy go back to our teenage years at Jefferson High School and to a little church on Grove street in Lafayette. We four gals, Patty Kennedy Swindel, Shirley McKeighen Maitlen, and me put a lot of mileage on those black and white saddle shoes walking from Alabama St to Columbine Park.. Dorothy had it easy because she lived across the street from the park. Also, lots of fun at the McKeighen cottage on the lake. Thank you, Lord, for memories that bring joy to our heart even at times of loss.

Connie I am truly saddened by the lost of you mom. There are no words that can offer that will help through this difficult time. One thing that did help me was knowing I had good friends, and family there to support me through my difficult time and I know that you have a lot of good friends and family. Take time for yourself to gather your thoughts and great memories of her. We love you guys.
