HELEN G WARDELL Helen G Wardell, (nee Vento) of West New York NJ passed away on Sunday September 13, 2015 with her family by her side. Devoted Mother of Nancy Lombardo of Ridgefield PK. and Richard Wardell and his wife Nancy of Killingworth. CT. Loving grandmother of James Lombardo, (Gina), Marc Lombardo, Christopher ( Blake) Lombardo and Joshua Wardell and his wife Samantha. Cherished great- grandmother of Nicholas Fernandez and Ava & Jarod Arias. Survived by many cousins and nieces as well as a true friend Christine Arias. Helen was born in New London, CT. and was raised in New Britian CT coming to live in West New York for 70 yrs where she married Clarence Wardell. She was a Parishioner of St Joseph's of the Palisades Church, WNY and belonged to the WNY Senior Citizens and the Western Slope Seniors of North Bergen, NJ. After retiring from her job of 49 years in Modern Thread, WNY, she was currently working as a Lunch Monitor for school PS #4 WNY Board of Ed. for 12 years loving to help with the children better known as "Miss Helen" to them. She loved to ballrooom dance and her most valuable role was being a mother, grandmother always worrying about all and will truly missed. Helen enjoyed cooking and made the best "Eggplant Parmigina" around and also enjoyed being out and about and loved getting her hair styled. Visiting hours on Wed from 4 to 8 pm at Konopka Funeral Home, 9046 Palisade Ave, North Bergen, NJ. Funeral Mass on Thursday at 11:15 at St Joseph's of the Palisades Church, WNY. Private Cremation.
