Ada Cote Obituary

Ada (Bartlett) Cote, 99, of Vernon, widow of Earl Cote, passed away Saturday, June 22, 2013, at Fox Hill Center.

She was born Nov. 15, 1913, in Hampden, Mass., the daughter of the late Walter Bartlett and Margaret Anne Viggers Bartlett. She is survived by her son Clayton Cote and son and daughter-in-law Bruce and June Cote of Edmonton, Ky.; her daughter and son-in-law Robin and Tony Castillo of Ledyard; grandchildren, Earl and Mary Lou Savage of Omaha, Neb., Lee and Irene Savage of South Hadley, Mass., Sharon Savage, Michael Savage, and Thomas and Cindy Savage, all of Ellington, Bill and Terri Cote of Battle Ground, Wash., Melissa MacVarish of Ellington, Chad and Carrie Everitt of De Pere, Wis., Tim Cote of Des Moines, Iowa, Jeremy and Lakeisha Everitt of Columbia, S.C., Sherri Cote of Edmonton, Ky., and Aaron Everitt of New Haven; 34 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter Shirley Savage and her granddaughter Dixie Palmer.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, June 27, 2013, at 11 a.m. at the Burke-Fortin Funeral Home, 76 Prospect St., Rockville. Burial will follow in Hazardville Cemetery, Enfield.

Family and friends may call at the funeral home on June 27, 2013, from 10 until 11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Fox Hill Nursing Center Recreational Fund, 22 South St., Vernon, CT, 06066.

The family would like to thank the entire staff at Fox Hill for the care, love, and support given to Ada.
