Howie will be missed by all that knew him. He played an important role in many of our lives when we were teenagers. His patience with us as participants in the Racine Drum & Bugle Corp and as paper boys picking up our daily newspapers at the bundle stop at his house was unbelievable. I still remember Howie well, even after almost 50 years, and I have a spot in my heart for him. Thank you Howie Dahnert.

To Winnie and family~I was so sorry to hear of Howard's passing. I became acquainted with Howard through the Elks Club. For many years l worked with adults with special needs. Twice a week we would come to the Elks to clean and set up for weddings or other scheduled events. Howard was always there with a kind word or a smile. He always went the extra mile for all of us.
Rest in peace Howard, you will be missed.

To The Howard Dahnert Family: Forgive me for not being able to attend the funeral. Howie was a dear friend for many years, and I had great respect for him. You know, he helped me with Drum Corps Day. I am in a wheel chair, and home bound. God Bless you Winnie, and your family, with deepest sympathy, Ken Pias
