Edward J. Kaskubar

RACINE - Edward Joseph Kaskubar, age 85, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2015, at Wheaton Franciscan All Saints Medical Center. He was born in Racine, October 4, 1929, son of the late Edward and Mathilda (Nee: Himmelsbach) Kaskubar. Ed graduated from St. Francis DeSales. He was a cartographer with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers during the Korean War. He was a product engineer with Walker Manufacturing for thirty years. Ed’s passion for music and photography was shared with all. He was a dedicated member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church for sixty years. Surviving are his children, Bruce (Jessica) Kaskubar of Rochester, MN, Terese (David) Block of Waukesha, Cathy Lynn Coonan of Green Bay, Diane (Coy) Peterson of Racine; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother Thomas Kaskubar, and sisters Beatrice Arndt and Mary (Ronald) Carls. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Elaine (Michael) DeCheck, and brother-in-law Ken Arndt. Visitation for relatives and friends will be Wednesday, April 1, 2015, 10:00 A.M. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 1533 Erie Street. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend Steve Varghese officiating. Entombment will follow at Calvary Crypts. Ed welcomed memorials to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church or Wisconsin Right to Life.
