My band (High Country) was the house band at Copper Hearth for a long time. Mary hired us and her along with Mike and Joanne were such a pleasure to be associated with. So many good memories. Rest in Peace Mary, you were such a hard worker.

John Jr. so sorry about the passing of your mother and my apologies for not knowing and consequently not attending the celebration of her life. She represented all that was so great about that generation of mothers. The heart of the greatest generation.

John, please accept my deepest sympathy in the death of your Mom. I know that you have a heart for the Lord and it is He who will allow you to know and understand that your Mom is with her Savior and your Dad. What a beautiful picture that must be. You most certainly were blessed to have her here with you all of these years. Allow yourself time and know that she lives on in your heart each and every day. I miss you and greatly value our friendship.

I knew Mary when I worked as a bartender for John at Castaway's next door. She didn't much like anyone cutting through the kitchen. The kitchen was 'her place' and her passion was presented in every plate. My condolences to the family.

I was a teacher at St Albert's in the 60's and remember the Copper Hearth very well. It was a pleasant place for we teachers to have an occasional special lunch. Also have memories of the kids playing in the woods. I stopped in the evening a couple times with another teacher and remember what a good cocktail your dad made. He was a real gentleman. My how time passes and thank goodness for memories.
