My wife and I can still remember going to Marion's on Saturday for sphagetti. As soon as we came in our children were gone and taken to the kitchen by a family member where according to them in was great! Thank you for the memories.

Sorry to hear about the death of your dear "Patriarch." Your husband & father was an institution in the old neighborhood...and he will be missed. Nice how the thought of him makes everyone recall good memories. My thoughts & prayers are with you.

My sincere condolences to the entire Marino family. I still remember your Dad coercing me out of the stands when I was 15 or so to ump behind the plate at a little league game in which he was coaching. Not only did he take it easy on me when I made some bad calls, he made sure to tell me afterwards that i did a good job. I haven't questioned or criticized a call by an ump or ref since. I thank him for that life lesson.

Marion and family, please accept our sincerest sympathy. As you already know, Dick was a longtime friend of the Roark family - all the way back to my grandfather and all generations since.
He sure did live life to the fullest and was loved by many. He will be missed.

Dear Marion and family, So sorry to hear about Dick. Just thinking about him brings back a lot of great memories -all the way back to Clark Lake up to Spaghetti dinners on Saturdays. I bet Dick and Sonny are playing cards already. With Love, Bob and Michell Struck

Dick is my favorite bar keep of all time. A truly funny man with a personality bigger than life. I was heartbroken when the bar was sold. I mourn with the family. They broke the mold when God made Dick Marino. There will never be another like him.

So sorry to hear of Dick's passing. We have fond memories of Saturday night spaghetti dinners at Marino's and Dick's sense of humor while he took our orders and pretended to be a gruff ole' guy, but we had his number! He's unforgettable. Glad we got to know him.

I had the privilege of meeting Dick and getting to know him during his retirement years. I would often have lunch at Amelia's on Layton and Dick would hold court with his card buddies. He had a wonderful sense of humor and always ready with a funny story. I always enjoyed his company and will fondly remember him
