Dear Susie and Family,
I am so sorry for your loss. Reading of your father's life and how he stood up for social justice for all people, I am sure he will be deeply missed not by just his family but by all the many people his life touched. I am sorry I did not get to know him better when we were in school together. I was not in town during the funeral but my thoughts are with you and your family. If you ever come back to Milwaukee, I would be happy to get together with you, Gina, and the girls. Take care.

Dear Mary and Bill, My sympathy and prayers for you and all of your family on the death of your dear father. I remember meeting him when I would be visiting the McCauley's years ago. Dear Susie,
My heartfelt sympathy to you and your siblings on the passing of your beloved father. Reading the beautiful write up in the Journal brought back so many memories of our time renting one of Uncle Jim's places on North Avenue. Your father would call weekly to say he was visiting and you would instruct we must clean up the place for the Judge and then we all sat around like holy pictures. Dr. John Cannon & The Cannon Family,
I would like to express my sincere condolences at the loss of the Honorable Robert Cannon. John serves as the Academic Dean at my school in the San Antonio ISD. Whenever he spoke of his father it was with fond memories and loving thoughts. Please remember that earth has no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal. May the God of all ages give you peace.

To Joe and the entire Cannon family;
Our prayers are with you as you celebrate the great life of your father / grandfather. As a young baseball fan growing up a Braves fan, I remember how synonymous Judge Cannon was with professional baseball in Milwaukee. It certainly is easy to see that Joe has continued his grandfather's love for the game of baseball. Joe - as you play football in the next weeks, know that your grandfather is with you all the way (my father died 2 days after the state baseball tournament this past summer). Also , we have a senior daughter at DSHA and will be proud to offer a donation to the scholarship fund.

This was a dedicated, unique, and valued public servant. Judge Cannon will long be remembered for the fierce impact he had on this community and for the exemplary contributions he made to the legal profession.
