Lawrence A. Ferk

Ferk, Lawrence A. Age 91, of Sheboygan Falls, died on Saturday, January 22, 2011, at Pine Haven Christian Home in Sheboygan Falls. Lawrence was born on April 27, 1919 in Bismarck, ND, the son of the late Oscar and Amelia (nee Dusek) Ferk. On January 9, 1943, he was united in marriage to Irene McCarty. He worked at Cutler Hammer (Eaton) as an electrical engineer for 35 years and retired in July 1983. He came to the Sheboygan area in May 1999, after living in Milwaukee for 51 years. Loving father of Michael (Sharon) Ferk of Sheboygan Falls, Cheryl Ferk of Oakland, CA and William (Lynn) Ferk of Menomonee Falls. Beloved grandfather of Melissa (fiancé Jason) Ferk of Germantown, Corey (Matthew) Kautzky of McFarland, Timothy Ferk of San Francisco, CA and Nicholas Ferk of Menomonee Falls. Dear brother of Dennis (Dorothy) Ferk of Sante Fe, NM, Gail (Willard) Bartlett of Hopkins, MN and Roger (Mavis) Ferk of Hampton, VA. He is survived by special friend Pat Schubert of Sheboygan. He is also survived by other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife on January 25, 2003. The family would like to thank the staff of both Pine Haven Christian Home and Hospice Advantage for the kind and loving care they gave Lawrence. Visitation at the Funeral Home Thursday, January 27, 4-6:45 PM. Funeral Service 7 PM. Private burial at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
