Uncle Terry was a special person. He stressed always being loving towards people and often spoke of 'right thinking'. He once told me he loved Jesus Christ which I thought was so cool. He played guitar better than anyone and sang incredibly soulful. I loved his black pointy boots. I told him they reminded me of Spok. I think he drove a gold cadillac. He wore two watches, one to tell earth time and another to tell time on his home planet of Venus. He called me in the middle of the night once and sang me a song called 'Star People'. It was about the race of intergalactic people that he came from. He said Star People were on a higher level of love and Godly understanding. Only my family can truly grasp what angel he was. The outside world never know what a treasure he was. I love you Uncle Terry. Proud to be your nephew.

So sorry to hear of Terry's passing. I dated Danny in the late 70's and what a family he had! Terry was always so sweet to me and as others have mentioned, never said a bad word about anyone. Eccentric? oh yeah, but lot's of fun and so very talented. To the family, please accept my sincere sympathy.

I'm thinking of Terry today on his birthday, July 25th. I am still having a hard time knowing he is gone, and that I cannot just pick up the phone and call him. He was a unique individual, with such talent and I'll never forget that mischievous smile.

More on the serious side, my uncle Terry was the most prominant inspiration in my life. He was pure at heart and as innocent as my 3 year old son. He was both a man among men and a proto-type of what "man" should be. I remember telling him after my son was born that he was now a "great uncle". He thought that was so cool. What I never got to tell him is that he was ALWAYS a great uncle. My childhood memories help form the better part of what I have become as a man. His inspiration in my musical as well as personal life can never be denied. I loved him as a brother, an uncle, a father and a friend, and I always will. Here's to our last hoorah my idol. Here's to you... you always had your billion dollars. You just couldn't spend it in this world but I bet you can now. I love you Uncle Terry. I love you my "GREAT" uncle. The sun will shine a little more dim now that you are gone from this plain.

Uncle Terry was the most unique person I ever had the privilege to know. He was a man with unwavering principal. When he decided he was or wasn't going to do something, you could bet your bottom dollar, he would do what he said. He never swore! NEVER! I NEVER heard his speak poorly about another person. Being with him made me want to be a better person (that is an exceptional gift). He appreciated and had an incredible love for people (mostly women - Venus was his favorite). His faith in the Lord was unwavering – He spoke of God in matter of fact terms, not just faith. He had a quick and clever sense of humor. His music originated in his heart, marinated in his soul and was delivered with a passion that only he could possess. We are all truly grateful for the family and friends that joined us at Terry’s final appearance. It was amazing to meet some of the people that he touched in his life and great to hear the stories of laughter, love and music. His music is an inspiration that will echo in my heart forever.

I was introduced to Terry when we would see his brother Danny decades ago at Salvatores and the Charcoal Flame on 13th and Ryan in Wisconsin. He was always curteous and mischievous at the same time. What a wonderful family you had Lolita! God Bless

Terry was an enormous talent. I remember going to see him perform one night. A friend of Terry's said, "Be sure to ask Terry to sing "GEORGIA," you must hear his version."
So, I did as his friend suggested, and the best comment that can be made must be stolen from a judge on a recent episode of "The Voice."
"You stole the song, you own the song, and you sold the song."
Rest In Peace, Terry, I'm glad I was fortunate enough to know you and see you perform as many time as I did.

Lolita, please accept my sincere and profound sympathies on the loss of Terry.
He and I shared a lot of laughs and music over the years. Not only was he an outstanding musician and accomplished vocalist, but he also had a wicked sense of humor (I can hear him laughing as I write this). He was truly a one-of-a-kind "cat." And that kind can never be replaced. God bless.

Terry gave me 25 valentines for Valentines Day in 8th grade. I never forgot his sweetness, although we had not seen each other since 1956. So glad to know of his success. I send my sympathy to his family and friends. Am terribly sad we didn't get a chance to reconnect.
