My family would always gather around the TV together to watch the news on, as Mother would call it, "The Journal Station". My sister and I couldn't wait to see what lovely outfit Miss Marks would be wearing. To young girls growing up in Milwaukee in the 1960s, she was the epitome of style, grace, and elegance. Our prayers and sympathy go out to her family. Fondly, "The Murphy Girls".

I was in error in my tribute to Judy. It was during the early 60s, not the 80s. At my age, I do make mistakes.
With love to Judy,

During the early 60s, I had the pleasure of working with Judy on Wed nights as the band leader at the Hilton Hotel, were we did a live radio broadcast on WTMJ. I was able to get the weekly tapes of the show and recently had them put on disks. It is a pleasure to listen to them because it brings back so many wonderful memories of those good days. Judy was so much fun to work with because one could see that she was having such a great time being the hostess. I will remember her forever.

To The Family of Judy,
News of Judy's passing arrived in my life this morning, here in Costa Rica. I am saddened by her passing, but know she is now doing so well, again, in her new home. A very true friend to me at that place on Capitol Drive, Judy has always been remembered, and she always will be. There was no one finer, as a person, than Judy. Rest Easy Dear Lady, and may your family accept my deepest sympathy in their loss.

My Mom said to light a candle for Judy, and send her Pyayers to the family. Mom's 98 and she/dad always said what a "Great Gal" Judy was and how she and Dad enjoyed the weather with her at TMJ-4. A young gal who related the weather so well and made theirs/others evening. Judy touched so many with her warmth. Mom said she was one of a kind, hasn't enjoyed anyone like her since, except for Jon Green, "The Green House"- a true TV/radio lover of the best of the best.
So this is from Mom to me to send to you and just know that Judy touched so many lives and she was and will be remembered in our hearts forever.

Remember meeting Judy Marks back in the 60's out in Pewaukee at a house party on the lake. Always saw her on TV when I was a kid and everyone loved her. It was a "special event" for me to meet her in person.
She was a true Icon, everyone looked forward to seeing Judy on TV displaying the weather as only she could do. She will be missed by all who remember her back in the day.
Condolences to the family, a true loss.

Judy was a real friend to me when I moved here right out of the US Army to work at WTMJ Radio...a beautiful friend inside and out, who made my transition easier and more fun. Those who liked her for her on-air presence should know that she was a genuine delight to know pwersonally too. God Bless you Judy!

I am so sad. It's hard to imagine bubbly Judy no longer with us. We played golf together so many times over the years at NSCC in Mequon and were good friends socially as well. Rod will surely miss her tremendously.

The decades fly by so fast. Like many others you were part of my youth, and a time I remember so well. So many loved you, if only you knew. Now you're blazing a trail on a different journey. One that's much more fruitful than the last. God bless you!

I was a child at St. Benedict the Moore School in the 4th grade,I couldn't wait to get home, to watch her, she seemed very eloquent, bright and a true champion, respectable, diligent and as as a young girl a trait to follow. I WAS BLESSED TO HAVE EXPERIENCED HER JOURNEY. TO the Family she will be looking down upon all of you, and smiling down at all. May God Bless You and keep you.

I was Judy's part-time secretary for a short while when I was 18 years old, about 1965. I worked at WTMJ in the "Personalities" Office. Judy was always so bubbly and gracious. She never had a bad word to say about anyone. I was always in awe over her glamour and style. I doubt anyone will ever duplicate her - she was definitely one of a kind.

I was a young and rookie floor director, stage hand, at channel 4 when I worked with Judy. She always had time to talk with the crew and always treated us with respect. She was quite the Lady. She will be missed. My condolences to all of her family.

When you hear a name after decades, and it brings to mind a face/voice immediately, well it saddened me. Judy was a "hero" of mine in a time when women on tv were few and far between. May she rest in peace; sympathies to the family.

Judy was a friend of my grandmother (Jean Campbell) and I did a four year stint in broadcasting in part because of Judy's career. My thoughts are with your family.
