Marty was my cousin, and his wife Rosa (I know her as Rosie) has been my closest friend since middle school. They met when introduced by my mother, and the chemistry between two such wonderful people was immediate, culminating in their wedding in which I had the privilege of being Rosie's maid of honor.
Marty was giving, loving, and caring; always valuing the happiness and wellbeing of others - particularly his beloved Rosa - above his own. My husband and I were honored to have Marty and Rosie stay with us in Dallas, where he clearly admired the stunning Cowboys home stadium. But that joy was trumped by the enjoyment and peaceful serenity he felt while staring out at the tranquil lake and stream in our back yard while being continually serenaded by juke box oldies. Marty and Rosie returned the favor as our hosts when they opened their home to us during our stay in Milwaukee just a few short months ago.
Wishing him the peace he deserves in that pain free world in which he now resides, we bid him a tearful and painful farewell. We will forever miss his wit, his insight, and his deeply emotional warmth.
To you, Marty: May you, our good and cherished friend, now walk gently with the angels, unencumbered by earthly infirmities and justifiably proud of what you accomplished here on earth.

I am so saddened by the news of Marty's passing. You are are all in my prayers. So sorry that I can not be there with with you but you know my heart is there.
