I just got back from a long trip yesterday, and today I went to Art's looking for John to tell him about my trip and was shocked by the news and it brought tears to my eyes. John was the main reason I would go to Art's Camera. I loved to sit and talk with him about anything, but to hear him talk about photography, anyone who knew him could instantly see his passion! All I can really say is God wanted him back sooner than this world was ready to let him go. He will be missed greatly and I will continue to honor him through my work. May God bless the family and may John Rest in Peace.

I was blessed to share bible study with John and the excitment he had with his love for photography in which I myself have a passion. Our heart and prayers are with the entire family during this difficult time.

I have been thinking about John and his participation in our Thursday am Men's Bible Study. We studied 1 Peter and I recall discussing 1 Peter 2:23-25: He[Jesus]bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds we are healed. For you were like sheep going astray, but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls. I will miss John and think of him every time I take a picture with my Canon camera.

Very sad news. John was the photographer for the MarquetteHoops.com website for a few years and was one of the more popular message board posters on that site where he posted under the nickname TrekYFoil.
Treky - the online Marquette basketball community will certainly miss your insight and humor!
