Tonette

My condolences to you and your family. Although so many years have passed I wanted you to know that I have never forgotten your parents, you or Nicky. Your parents were very special friends to my parents Melo and Dorothy Curro. They not only stood at my parents side when they were married but stood by them when my father passed away. It was through their kindness and friendship that they held the luncheon on the day of my father's funeral in their home on Chapman Pl. I am still amazed at how they were able to accommodate so many people and I don't know how they did it (that was in April, 1973).

While I was only a young girl at the time, I can remember every Christmas spent at your home. Your mother was so beautiful and your father would give me big kisses with his thick mustache until I would run away. When my mother became ill, your mother would come by our house to check on me and my sister. Sadly after that, I never saw her again or your father but they left me with some of the best childhood memories one could have and I have always held dear their friendship with my parents. May God bless you and your family.

Tonette, I was saddened to read of your dad's passing. Tony and I met when we were in our mid-20s and became fast friends. Our paths and lives crossed many times over the years. After I moved to AZ, a familiar face popped his head around the corner at the dealership, and it was your dad. We worked together there for some years. Your dad and I loaded his convertible with everything we owned and moved to Las Vegas. We shared an apartment with lots of laughs, hard work and play. When Tony walked into a room, you didn't have to have a light on. Tony was there. I will miss him very much. May he rest in peace.
