Jerome J. Gapinski

Gapinski, Jerome J. Passed away happily on January 10, 2014, at the age of 87. Beloved husband of the late Lorraine (nee Drewek). Loving father of David (the late Myrna) Gapinski and Tom (Debbie) Simonis. Fun and smiley grandpa of Chad (Sara), Paul (Sarah), Becky (Bob) Lange, Kristin (Daniel) Ehlen, T.J. (Shannon) and Amy Jo. Great-grandpa of Ryan, Amanda, Kaleb, Josephine, Emma, Eva, Will, Kate and Emily. Further survived by other relatives and friends. Jerry served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII, was a member of Moose Lodge #49, Blessed Sacrament Church Holy Name Society and Ushers Society, Knights of Columbus Bishop Henni Assembly and Pere Marquette (active in youth activities), served as Committee Member, Scoutmaster and District Commissioner for Milwaukee County Council - Boy Scouts of America for over 30 years. In addition, he completed many local scout leader courses and attended advanced leader training at Wood Badge and Philmont Scout Ranch. Retired from Interstate Brands with 25 years of service as a route delivery driver of Dolly Madison bakery. He loved dancing, music and had a talent for drawing, often being called upon to provide poster art for service organizations. Visitation on Friday, January 17, 2014, at CLEMENT MANOR CHAPEL, 3939 S. 92nd Street, Greenfield from 9:30AM to 10:15AM with the Funeral Mass at 10:30AM. Private interment Mount Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Clement Manor Alzheimer's Care Unit appreciated.
