I want to send my sincerest sympathies to
Dr. Larkey's family on his passing. I enjoyed working with him in the 80s at the old Med/Surg clinic. May he rest in peace.

Dear Lois and family, I knew Jay through Grassroots North Shore. If I remember correctly, he delivered my friend, Sheldon Wasserman. He was a good man, an activist in causes I support, and a respected physician. Many others and I will miss him!!

46 years ago, Dr. Larkey delivered me into this world. It was his caring and loving touch that greeted me. He later became my first GYN when I was sixteen and unsure about everything that had to do with my body. He handle my discomfort with grace. Thank you Dr. Larkey. With much love.

4 of the more than 5,000 babies Jay Larkey brought into this world. These grown ups each have a fine social conscience that Jay would have liked.

I was one of the many children who DR Larkey brought safely into the world, born in 1969, and from my family to yours we wish you peace and love in this difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. RIP Dr Larkey and thank you!

Dear Debbie and Cindy,
I hope that you remember Sid and me as we certainly remember your parents and Hirsh. You mom was the first person I ever met when we moved to Milwaukee in 1963. Lynn Kaufman was at her house with Eric in a stroller. And so began a long and wonderful friendship. Your dad became my doctor immediately and he even pierced my ears in your kitchen. Your mom turned a bit white and had to leave the room. We fought the good fights with them for many, many years. He was such a good man. Please accept our sincere condolences and love.

I knew Dr Larkey from Mount Sinai, where, in 1973-1974, I was a new nurse in L/D. He was a roaring presence in my life at that time. When I think of those years, his is a name that I would mention. Rest in Peace, Dr Larkey.
