Nick passed away Tuesday morning, May 6, 2014 at his home. He a born March 14, 1939 in Chicago, IL, the son of the late Nicholas and Ruth (Root) Thierjung. Nike was a Bull Block Operator for National Copper in Dowagiac company and Paw Paw Plating before his retirement. He enjoyed the out-doors, working on Farmall Tractors and the Fly Wheelers. On April 6, 1997 in Paw Paw, Nick was united in marriage to Wilma M. Marko who survives. Also surviving are four step-children, Raymond Monk in the U.S. Navy, Harley Monk of Lawton, Lacey Zinn of Galesburg and Amy Monk of Lawton; 14 grandchildren, two sisters, Grace (Allen) Kluge of Flat Rock, MI and Ruth Ann (Bill) Phillips of Kalamazoo; several nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation. A celebration of life gathering will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to your charity of choice. NICK HAD BEEN OUR DEAR NEIGHBOR FOR 23 YEARS. THROUGHOUT THOSE YEARS WE ALL BECAME FRIENDS NOT JUST NEIGHBORS. HE HAD SUCH A MECHANICAL KNOWLEDGE OF THE TRACTORS AND REALLY LOVED WORKING ON THEM. HIS STORY TELLING AND SENCE OF HUMOR WERE ALWAYS WELCOME. WE FEEL SUCH A LOSS AS HE IS NOW GONE, BUT KNOW HE IS IN TRACTOR HEAVEN ENJOYING EVERY SINGLE DAY !! NICK MISSING YOU!
