SIPSMA, EDNA
Comstock
Passed away peacefully Monday evening, August 13, 2012. Edna was born January 13, 1923, in Comstock to the late Jacob and Tina (Boonstra) Kuilema. She was an active member of Comstock Christian Reformed Church; and enjoyed the various activities and volunteering with the Comstock Community Center. On November 21, 1942 she was united in marriage to her loving husband, Theodore Sipsma, who preceded her in death on December 9, 1996. She was also preceded in death by sisters and brother, Bertha Dusseljee, Anna Eshuis, Evelyn Smith Luckey, and Justin "Bud" Kuilema. Edna is survived by her children, Bonnie (Roger) Westrate, Doug Sipsma
(Max Brown), Phyllis (Doug) Shrout, Mary Lou (Rodger) Slag; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren, a
sister, Pearl Doorn; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. A service to celebrate Edna's life will be held at 11:00am Friday, at Comstock Christian Reformed Church, 5300 Comstock Ave. Friends may meet the family on Thursday from 6-8pm at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick. Private family interment will be in Comstock Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Comstock Christian Reformed Church, Comstock Community Center, CARES, or the charity of your choice. Dear Sipsma Family,
Edna was a dear person. My mom worked with Edna at Klooster's Greenhouse for nearly 25 years. My mom has many wonderful memories of Edna. Our prayers are with you and your family at this time.
