Shirley Mellinger Obituary

VALLEY CENTER - Mellinger, Shirley Ann, 75, loving mother, grandmother and friend lost her courageous battle with cancer on Feb. 16, 2010. She was born in Osceola, NE March 20, 1934 and lived and raised her family in several locations before settling in Valley Center in 1975. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Survivors are daughter, Lori (Jim) Hawk of Carrollton, TX; sons, Steve (Julee) of Wichita, Bob (Tina) of Wichita, Dave (Chris) of Valley Center, Mike (Karen) of Plainview, TX; brothers, Richard (Collene) Murphy of McCook, NE, Dave (Donna) Murphy of Mesquite, TX; grandchildren, Scott, Matt, Brett, Kylee, Brock, Adam, Jordan, Megan, Christian, Brendan, Allison, Grant, Erin, Eric, Nicholas, Cody, Ashton, Todd, Tanner, Morgan and Mandi; great grandchildren MacKenzie, Tyler, Evan and Max. Funeral service is 10 a.m., Friday, Feb. 19 at First United Methodist Church of Valley Center. Memorial contributions can be made to Victory In The Valley or First United Methodist Church of Valley Center. Condolences may be offered at www.resthavenmortuary-cemetery.com
