Hal McMaster Obituary

McMaster, Hal Creighton, 89, of Wichita, KS, died peacefully on January 27, 2010. Hal is survived by his wife, Vicki; sons, John and Mark; and daughters, Donna, Nancy and Pamela. His eldest son, Creig passed away last year. Hal continued his family's military tradition, graduating from West Point in 1942, and served as an artillery pilot stationed in Italy during World War II. Aviation followed him throughout his life, as an accomplished pilot, aircraft owner and aeronautical engineer. Hal retired after 30 years at Beechcraft and Raytheon to found Aero Science Software, an engineering publishing and consulting firm. Memorial services will be held in Wichita at Baker Funeral Home, 6100 E. Central, on February 8 at 2 p.m.. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Fisher Center for Alzheimer's Research Foundation (www.alzinfo.org) to help find a cure for Alzheimer's and dementia.

Donna, Nancy and John,

I am sorry to hear of the passing of your father. I believe I went to church with you years ago at Full Gospel. God bless your family during your time of grief.

Family:
I know that Hal will be greatly missed. I remember how much his son Creig loved his daddy and now they are together. I used to stop by and say Hi when he was at Andover Life Care. I saw him once when he moved to Wheatstate. My prayer is that God will comfort your broken hearts. I know that God will!

Nancy and family: I send my sympathy to you and your family. Gene talked so highly of your father. I know it is hard to say, goodbye.

Vicki,
It is very sad to hear of the passing of Hal. As my dad’s (Philip Lenertz) roommate for a short period of time, my family and I grew to know and love him and his little quirks (as so many residents had at Life Care) as if we had known him for years. It did my heart good when we could share the bird feeder with him as it seemed to really make him happy. Along with getting to know Hal, we also got to meet you Vicki and that too was our pleasure. I hope that you can find peace and comfort in the thought that he is no longer suffering.
With Sympathy,
Kevin & Philis Seal

Rest Hal, until you hear at dawn,
the low, clear reveille of God.

Thank you for your service to this nation.

Hal was real good to work with. He was a straight talker, and honest.

You are all in my thoughts and prayers during your time of loss. Mr. McMaster was always so pleasant when he would come visit Craig in Winfield. God Bless You All.
