Born April 7, 1921, on a ranch near Wellsford, Kan., she was the daughter of A.A. and Louise (Lindeman) Judson. She was raised and received her early education in Pratt, Kan., until the family moved to Winfield where she graduated from Winfield High School in 1939. Maxine married Marvin Rupp in 1941. The family made their home and began their family in Winfield. In 1944 Marvin gave his life serving his country in World War II. In 1950 she married Clyde C. Burnsworth in Ft. Wayne, Ind. The couple made their home in Winfield where Maxine was a homemaker, staying home to raise their family. In 1963 the couple divorced, and Maxine moved to Wichita where she began working at Innes as an Interior Designer. In 1968 she began her own Interior Decorating business "Maxine's Interiors." Maxine married William M. Grimes in 1972. They remained in Wichita and she continued to run Maxine's Interior until 1976 when they retired and moved to California to be near her son. While on vacation to Oregon they fell in love with the area and decided to make it their home. Mr. Grimes preceded her in death in 1993. In 1999 she moved to Tucson, Ariz. due to health concerns. She remained there until 2011 when she returned to Wichita to be near family. She enjoyed golf, and entertaining friends and family.
