Dennis Gene Spinks

SEDGWICK-Spinks, Dennis Gene 70, died Thursday, May 18, 2017 at Diversicare of Sedgwick. He was born February 7, 1947 in Wichita, to William C. and Arlene J. (Adams) Spinks. He was a lifelong Bentley resident, a graduate of Bentley High School and was a member of Bentley United Methodist Church. He worked at Boeing as a tool grinder. On November 22, 1969, he married Elsie R. "Becky" Valencia in Halstead; she survives. Other survivors include brother, Robert Samms, Wichita; sisters, Rhonda Bradshaw, Wichita, Karen (Steve) Brown, Towanda, and Sue (Royce) Gruver, Scott City. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Randy Samms. Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. with the family greeting friends from 6:30-8 p.m. Thursday, May 25, at Kaufman Funeral Home, Halstead. Committal service will be 10 a.m. Friday, May 26, at Pleasant Valley Cemetery. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. at Bentley United Methodist Church, with Pastor Jan McDaniel officiating.
