Uncle Bill was a wonderful man who was loved and will be missed by so many. Although while growing up distance kept our families from seeing each other often, Uncle Bill always had a big welcoming hug when we arrived and regaled us with great jokes and stories. Manhattan in hand and with his dogs at his side, I vividly recall him telling us kids a long, involved joke with a punchline about chocolate ice cream that I remember to this day! Sending so much love to all of the Stower and Sears clans.

Bill was a wonderful uncle to my children and a dear friend and loving family member. His dry wit, love of children and dogs endeared him to us. His kind and gentle spirit shone through in all that did for family, church and community.

So sorry Margaret Ann. I've thought about him often since he retired and have missed his wonderful dry sense of humor. I hope you find peace and laughter in your memories.

I am grateful for the life of Mr. Stower. Thanks to his service and to the service of others in our armed forces, my family and I have been able to lead our lives in freedom and peace.
