RACHEL MARIE ANDERSON

1989 - 2017

Rachel Marie Anderson, 28, a lifelong resident of Lee's Summit, Mo., and recently of Lincoln NE, began her new journey on April 13, 2017, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center after battling GIST since 2009. Celebration of life service will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, April 22, at the Silent Unity Chapel in Unity Village, Mo. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday, April 21, at the Langsford Funeral Home. Rachel was born March 30, 1989, in Kansas City, Mo. She graduated from Lee's Summit North High School in 2007 and earned her Bachelor of Arts in English at Truman State University in May 2013. She was employed at Silent Unity as a Prayer Associate and a Scheduling and Forecasting Coordinator. Rachel loved spending time with her family, friends and her dogs. She was always supportive of others and spread joy wherever she went. She will always be in our hearts forever and always. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Lloyd and Evelyn Anderson. Survivors include her parents, Vernon and Carol Anderson, her siblings, Amy, David and Jordan Anderson, her life partner, Timoteo Barrientos, maternal grandparents, Charles and Christie Mansell and many uncles, aunts and cousins.
