As a survivor I met Kay at several SNAP workshops and was impressed with her dedication to this cause. What struck me about Kay was her incredibly positive outlook and lovely sense of humour. A Canuck who will forever have a place in my heart for Kay.

I met Kay only recently at the Lakeview Village Care Center. She was my mother's roommate. My mom was, like Kay, being cared for by Crossroads Hospice, a wonderful group of caregivers. I spoke with Kay on only a few occasions. In the last weeks when I was visiting she was often sleeping. Just from those few times, I am not at all surprised to learn what a splendid human being she was. My mom, Dorothy Jensen, passed away on July 25th. She was 97.
My mom was quite ready to depart this world. She had lived a good life. Kay was taken much too soon. I regret not having known her before her illness. Please accept my sincere condolences.

Our deepest sympathies to you all. Mrs. Goodnow was quite a woman - formidable, as you so eloquently said, Allison. She was always very gracious and sweet to me. Love and condolences to you all, on behalf of our family.

Please accept my condolences on the loss of your wife, mother, grandmother and mentor to many. I met Mrs. Goodnow when I was an undergraduate at Baker University and she guided our Omicron chapter members with wisdom, humor, personality, and challenge. She set the bar high for our sisterhood - and that's how I continued to be involve with the sorority all these years. She never forgot anyone and it was always a treat to spend time with her. She was a true leader and had many followers. Thank you, Kay, for being a Real. Strong. Woman and paving the way to "Seek the Heights."

Kay was very special to me. She helped me so, so much when I began my healing journey.
I'll miss her but is a comfort to know that I was so fortunate to know her.
Sincere sympathies to her family.

Kay and I have been best friends since 1944 when we lived on Locust, in Kansas City, MO. We went through school together, at Notre Dame de Sion, and stayed in touch through the years, long after I left K.C. I last saw Kay in October 2012, while in K.C. for Sion's 100th anniversary. I am blessed to have known this brilliant, courageous woman, and my condolences go to her beloved family: Wes, Allison, Betsy, and Peachy.

Kay Goodnow is in a much better place, I'm sure. Not only was she a champion for survivors, but Kay was truly a champion for all of mankind. Although she'll be missed, there's no doubt in my mind that Kay's spirit will live on and continue to fight for those who need it the most.

I have such fond memories of Kay. She taught me so much in the years I knew her. She spoke so fondly of her family - her beloved Wes, two daughters and her son, as well as her grandchildren.
RIP dear friend and Warrior Woman; you've earned at least that.
My roommate at SNAP Conferences :)

My heart almost stopped. I met Kay through Bill as a teenager and we connected again in our very early 30's. Both lived in Nall Hills. It was Kay who told me that if I had not dusted that day just to spray a little Pledge before the husband came home:>) We lost touch. I divorced and remarried, moving to OH and then lived for years in MA...Allison I remember you well. I, too, have an Allison. I have always remembered Kay as a wonderful spirit and so she will remain in my heart.
