Sincere condolences to the Johnson family. Through his enthusiastic involvement in JCCC's CSA program, I was introduced to many new recipes. He taught me how to make the most delicious whole roast chicken—it's one of Ben's and my favorite dishes. Despite my endless questions, he was always patient and upbeat—such a very giving person. He will be greatly, greatly missed.

Chef Tim was an early supporter of sustainability at Johnson County Community College. His work with my office, local farmers, and the larger food service community was exemplary. He started our annual Local Foods dinner that highlighted the connections between restaurants and local farmers. His leadership will be missed and my condolences go to his friends and family.

Tim will truly be missed. My favorite memory of him: he was a groomsman in our wedding and he came to the country club in the rented tux. About 2 am the tux guy was going back to Como and wanted to take the suit with him. After some words, Tim took the tux off, handed it back to the guy and drove home in his skivvies. We've laughed about it for 15 years. RIP buddy. You were a great friend and an amazing chef!
