Pamela S. Mann, 64, Leawood, KS, passed away December 21, 2011. A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 23rd, 11:00 a.m. in the Wesley Chapel at Church of the Resurrection, 13720 Roe Avenue, Leawood, KS 66224. Pam was born April 21, 1947 in St. Louis, MO, daughter of Chuck and Lona Wiebe. She attended the University of Missouri and Bradley. She married T. Nelson Mann in 1968, they later divorced. She had worked as an elementary school teacher in North Carolina and Missouri, followed by a long philanthropic career working for non-profit organizations including Gillis Center, Women's Employment Network, and Safehome. Pam recently retired in February of 2011. Of many, she most notably volunteered for the American Cancer Society and Young Matrons. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of the Resurrection and actively participated in her small group, S.O.S. Her grandchildren, traveling, spending time on the beach and at the Lake of the Ozarks are some of the things Pam enjoyed most. She is survived by her children Tracie Mann (Joe Garcia) and Eric Mann (Jenni Mann); grandchildren Avery and Gavin Garcia; sister Kristi Auer (Nick); brother Chas (Robin); many nieces, nephews, cousins, and best friend, Linda Eveans. In lieu of flowers, mom would love donations made in her name to the Church of the Resurrection. Condolences may be offered at www.mtmoriah- freeman.com. Dear Tracie and Eric,
I learned about the passing of your mom just last week. I am so very sorry for your loss. Pam was a gentle and kind person, always very warm and caring. Pam worked hard in helping the City of Leawood to create the Leawood Foundation when I was mayor. I truly appreciated her skills and her caring ways with everyone.
With sincere sympathy,

Tracie, Eric and All of Pam's Family: I am just learning of Pam's passing and wanted to share my condolences. I knew her only a little -- through her work on the Gezer Park Committee in Leawood. What a lovely, kind and gentle woman. In my last conversation with her, we talked about playing with her grandchildren. The love she radiated is what I remember. I pray for your peace and comfort.

Tracie, Eric and family -
Your mom was such a warm and thoughtful person, funny and silly, energetic and professional. When I moved to KC and interviewed at Gillis, she was the reason I took a job in Development. Over the years, that group of women laughed and cried, shared and parted ways, but we've always remembered and respected each other. Pam will be missed and has left a hole in the hearts of those who knew her. I'm honored to have known her and shared even a small part of her life. My sincere condolences to each of you for her loss.

Tracie, Eric, Kristi & Chas, my sincerest condolences, and I know I speak for all of us in KHS65, she was a wonderful friend and classmate for so many years. The world is poorer without her in it.

My friendship with Pam wasn't long enough, but the time we had was very special. We traveled together, laughed and cried together, did just what girls like to do..whenever. She had the ability to find the perfect time, the perfect gift or the perfect smile for those she knew. Of things I missed most when I moved from Kansas City was my almost daily friendship with Pam. Tracie and Eric you are so fortunate to have been blessed with this fabulous lady. She was so proud of you both. May God Bless you and keep you close. Cherrel Fisher Crouch

Pam was such an amazing and strong woman, she did have a contagious laugh, a huge heart and an infectous, warm heart that had no bounds. I have sooooo many memories of Pam's hospitality, dating way back to high school, when I spent numerous days and nights. You will be missed by all Pam, we love you and were lucky to have known such a great woman. XOXO Sarah Cashion

Pam was a dynamo who worked hard to advance the many causes she was passionate about. As a legislator I trusted her advice and valued her support. She left the world a better place because she cared for her fellow man and her community. She will be missed but not forgotten.

Eric & Tracie- your Mother was a wonderfully kind hearted woman. When Jenni married in to your family, your Mom's welcoming warm spirit made all of us feel as though we were a part of her family too. The handful of times I was around your Mom, she always had a contagious laugh, the brightest of smiles with sparkles in her eyes and the warmest of hugs to share. My heart breaks for each of you, but I know your strong faith & incredible memories will help you during this difficult time.

One of many memories of my friend, Pam.
I met Pam 7 years ago when our Bible study group, SOS, formed. Her smile and sense of humor made such a difference in our lives. My most recent memory was at my birthday party in October.... hearing Pam laughing from across the room and how much she enjoyed being with friends. She touched the hearts of so many and her good works here on earth will be rewarded in Heaven. We'll truly miss her and her beautiful smile. My deepest sympathy to her family and friends.
