Hello Barbara: It was with sadness that we read your note about Dan's passing. However, his family, friends, work, travel and golf brought him a lifetime of happiness. One cannot ask for more. It was nice to know that the end was peaceful...this too was a blessing. Our thoughts and prayers will be with you as you go forward without him. Fondly, Phil/Donna Larson

I officed next to Dan from shortly after my arrival at Blackwell Sanders in May 1975 until I left the firm in September 1982, and trained as a corporate securities lawyer under his firm hand. Without his support, I would not have made partner at the end of 1979. While I left the firm and KC for unexpected family related reasons, I always thought I would practice with Dan for my entire career. He was an incredibly bright lawyer, intense and dedicated to his clients, and I could not have been better trained. Many times when I was a partner at Jones Day, a large international firm, I was complimented by an older partner with respect to how I must have been trained. I used Dan's lessons and referenced him in my training of a couple generations of lawyers and more recently young venture capitalists and investment bankers. Never a week went by that I did not have reason to think of him, and I will always picture him looking sharp in a red Mercedes convertible! My most sincere condolences to Barbara and family.

Dear Barbara;Dan will be missed. I always enjoyed our weekly golf game. His intersts and charitable work at the Turner Foundation, I know, was very important to him. Our thoughts and Prayers are with you and all of your family. Viginia & Frank Young Tucson
