DONNA LEE SHADE HALEY

Donna Lee Shade Haley, 77, passed away on February 3, 2011. Donna was born on March 1, 1933, to William Rollin (Rollie) and Velma Maple Jennings in Freemont, NE. She was raised in Denver, Colorado. She was a graduate of the 1951 class of Manual High School, Denver, CO. In 1963, she moved to Overland Park, KS. She was a past president of the Overland Park Jaycee Jaynes and past board member and a member of the Fine Arts Singles. She worked at Sears Catalog and as secretary in the electronic components industry for several years in Overland Park, KS. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and friend who loved the KC Chiefs, genealogy and was known for her famous spaghetti and brisket dinners. She is survived by her son Thomas Haley of Reno, NV, daughter Deanna Haley of Portland, OR, daughter Sharon Pressly of Overland Park, KS and son William (Bill) Haley of Shawnee, KS; grandsons Justin Pressly of Phoenix, AZ and Spencer Pressly of Overland Park, KS who will all miss her dearly. A private family prayer service will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, Feb. 12 from 1-3 pm at Gramercy Park Clubhouse, 10102 W 96 Terr., Overland Park, KS. She will be inurned at Johnson County Memorial Gardens in Overland Park, KS. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Shawnee Mission Meals-On-Wheels, 8029 Overland Park Dr., Overland Park, KS 66204.
