EVELYN REBECCA MOORE

Evelyn Rebecca Moore, 96, of Meridian died Sunday, May 1, 2011, at Anderson Regional Medical Center. Services will be held Saturday, May 7, 2011, at 10 a.m. at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Floral Hills Chapel. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, May 6, 2011, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made to the First Christian Church, 1301 23rd Avenue, Meridian, MS 39301. Mrs. Moore was a homemaker and a native of Kansas and lived in Kansas City for many years retiring to Eagle Rock, MO, prior to moving to Meridian two and a half years ago. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Meridian, Mississippi. Mrs. Moore is preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Moore; her son Gary Moore; her parents James and Edith Augustus; her sister Leah Whitaker; and her brother Robert Augustus. Survivors include her daughter, Patti Pankiewicz of Meridian; a son, Randy Moore and wife Pam of Olathe, KS; two sisters, Jacque Scammon of Tulsa, OK, and Midge Meeker of Overland Park, KS; four grandchildren, Megan and husband Scott Waelde of Decatur, GA, Rebecca and husband Ben May of Destin, FL, Sarah Pankiewicz of Atlanta, GA, and Joe Moore of Desota, KS; and three great-grandchildren, Delta May, Gabriel Waelde, and Logan Moore.
