I worked with Susan when she was a production manager at Macmillan Book Clubs in New York City. She was an amazing young woman, full of humor, honesty, kindness, and class. I lost touch with her completely after she moved West but I was aware of her happy marriage and first pregnancy when she came East for a brief visit and we had an all-too-brief lunch. I often wondered, especially in the past year, what happened to her. It is with great sadness that I learned most belatedly of her death. I have such fond memories of Susan and am so very happy that she went on to have an extremely fulfilling life and career. Sincerest condolences to her family and friends, albeit late.

I miss my mother with all my heart. I am saddened that she will never see my brother graduate and she will never see me in a prom dress. But ultimately it is not these milestones that I think of the most. It is that I will never see her smile again and I will never get to hug her again. I am happy that my mother is no longer in pain and that she has started a new journey but that leaves a little less light here for the rest of us.

Dennis, Russell and Aubrey, our hearts go out to you as you celebrate Susan's life. She was and is an inspiration. Several of us met last night in NKC and reminisced about the old High School days and the love that Susan had for everyone. Thank you for caring to share your journey with us.
