STEVEN TAYLOR Obituary

Steven Rolf Taylor, 59, of Kansas City, MO, passed away peacefully at Kansas City Hospice House March 8, 2014. He was born Nov. 30, 1954, in Bur- lington, IA to Raymond and Jacque- line Taylor. Steve graduated from the University of Iowa and received a Bachelor of Business Administra- tion in Finance. He was married to Cherylanne Baker Taylor of Kansas City in 1990. He spent over 20 years in mort- gage and real estate, and was the owner of Southwood Mortgage company. Steve worked at Signa- ture Logo, and several banking insti- tutions throughout his career. He was a teacher, a student, and a lov- ing father. He was well respected by both peers and customers, and had a dedicated work ethic. Steve loved going to air shows, riding bikes, ten- nis, history, and blues music. Survivors include son Jackson Ray Taylor of Kansas City, MO; step- daughter Cheri Sweaney of Kansas City, MO; mother Jacqueline Taylor of Amarillo, TX; sister Jean and Donny Bailey of Parker, CO; sister Stacey Anthony of Amarillo, TX; niece Angela Coniglio of Lincoln, NE; niece Aubrey Bailey of Jacksonville, FL; Uncle Wesley Taylor of St. Louis, MO; Aunt Sandra Nolte of Burling- ton, IA. Preceding him in death were his father, Raymond Taylor, and wife, Cherylanne Taylor. Funeral arrangements will be held at 11am, March 29th at Colonial Pres- byterian Church. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Jackson Taylor Benefit Account at Amarillo National Bank, PO Box 1, Amarillo TX 79105
