JOHN JACKSON Obituary

John A. Jackson "Jack"of Overland Park, KS passed away on Aug. 8, 2015. A memorial service will be held on Wed. Aug. 19th at 1pm at the Church of the Resurrection, Wesley Chapel, 13720 Roe Ave, Leawood, KS 66224. In Lieu of flowers a contribution may be made to Wayside Waifs or a charity of your choice, if you're able to. John was born on May 3rd, 1925 in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. John joined the Canadian Navy, serving in WWII and was drafted from the Navy to play professional hockey for the Chicago Blackhawks. Later he had a sales career and kept up with hockey as a coach, referee, linesman, and statistician for several teams. He was an avid golfer, and was a member of Brookridge Golf and Country Club. He is preceded in death by daughter, Denise Velma Kesinger, and son, John Kent Jackson. He is survived by his daughter, Julie Beth Patton of Edwardsville, Ill, 4 grandchildren, Andy, Scott, Kelly, and Shannon, and 3 great grandchildren.
