Died: June 14, 2010; in Plano

PLANO – Mary Frances Reinert of Plano passed away Monday, June 14, 2010, at her childhood home in Plano. She was born Feb. 9, 1917, in Plano, the son of William and Frances (Usilton) O'Connell.

She was employed at Copley Hospital in the X-ray department for 21 years and then worked for Dr. Schwingel in Aurora for over 30 years. She had a great love for children and animals. She enjoyed dancing and knitting and was a member of the North Shore Animal League along with several other animal societies.

Mary is survived by one daughter, Marilyn (Anton) Shulski of St. Charles; three grandchildren, Kathleen (Brian) Gallagher of Arlington Heights, Mark (Lisa) Shulski of St. Charles and Bridget Chester of Florida; 12 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; caretaker, Erika; and special friend, JoAnn French.

She is preceded in death by her parents; one son, Gary Reinert; and one sister, Lois O'Connell.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, June 18, 2010, at Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Plano, with the Rev. Del Keilman officiating. Burial will follow at Little Rock Township Cemetery in Plano. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. on Friday until the time of service at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to the animal society of your choice.
