Dear Lee,
My heart goes out to you; I'm sincerely sorry. I have fond memories of both of you at CBC; you were strong leaders. I remember I was working at Ridgecrest one summer and you stopped to see me on your way home from your honeymoon. :)
When I graduated from high school (40 years ago) you two gave me a soft yellow shawl that was made in Berea. I still have it, which shows how much I treasure the memory of you.
My mother, Olive Lee, thought the world of Butch. She enjoyed being your SS teacher and doing activities with your youth group. I just heard about Butch tonight and called her right away. She said again how much she liked him and that they got along well. She sends her prayers.
I remember Butch as a hard worker, faithful and determined. Most of all, I remember how much he loved you. He is missed. My prayers to you and your family for guidance and peace.

Lee, Kate and Lindsey - I want you to know how much I thought of Butch. We were all in church together grwoing up and there was not a nicer person in the world. He always had a smile on his face. I will miss him so much. God Bless. - Mary Alice (Crigger) Sosby (Winchester, KY)

Lee, Kate, and Lindsey,
Oh, the memories of Butch! All those times at Central Baptist, working with him at Pound Furniture, just the times to sit with him at Jerry's and talk. Few would know that he took me to Cliff Hagan's in Lexington for dinner the week of my wedding to Janie, but I remember. I can only imagine your thoughts and emotions right now. Just know of my prayers for all of you as God walks you through these days.

Lee, I'm so very sorry for your loss. The last time I saw Butch was at Lowe's and it was great to see him. We started first grade together. It's heard to believe he's gone. I've had him in my prayers and will keep you and your family there now. God will see you through.
