Sorry to hear about your loss. I remember Mr. Lofton well and was very fond of him. Sorry I was unable to get to the services.
As secretary to the superintendent, I enjoyed working with Mr. Lofton as one of our principals in Wilson. He was a fine man and he will be greatly missed.

Dear Lofton Family,
My heart goes out to you. I recently arrived back from an overseas business trip and heard a few moments ago that Bro. Lofton had passed. He has been an instrumental figure throughout my life. I grew to know and love him as a student at Elvie Street. May you take solace in knowing that his living was not in vain.

The crowd is gone, the cheers have stopped and all the equipment is put away
But what has brought us here together has broken our hearts on this your home- going day
You have been our coach, teacher, disciplinarian, spiritual leader, head-cheerleader and best friend for many years,
All the while teaching us what the true meaning and value of being in the Trojan family really is.
You led us through the hardest times and the proudest times, too,
Making men of us – just like you.
We became an extension of you and your visions,
While fulfilling our own life’s ambitions.
It is often said that life is a mystery and no one knows what the future holds,
But because of you, we dream big dreams and will forever be bold.
Life has many ups and downs, ”a winner never quits and a quitter never wins,” You shouted loud and often.
