Beulah Bevins Knoxville, TN Beulah Rebecca Bevins (Becky), age 85, of Knoxville, who lived the past several years in Virginia, passed away May 27, 2016 in Fairfax, Virginia. Born March 15, 1931, in Knoxville, Tennessee to the late Heiskell and Ruth Everett, Becky spent most of her life in Rocky Hill or Farragut and graduated from Farragut High School in 1949. A former member of First Baptist Concord, Becky loved and followed the Lord throughout her life. She was preceded by her brother, Toby Everett and his wife, Jeanne; her brother Jack; special cousins, Robert Ogle and Gene Duncan; and nephew, Tim Everett. Survivors: son and daughter-in-law, Jack and Lisa Bevins; daughter, Jan Denny; son, Brian Bevins; daughter and son-in-law, Rachel and Mark Morgan; grandchildren and their spouses, Liz and Matthew Teston, Philip and Alysha Denny, Amanda and Jarrett Crockett, Zachary and Katie Bevins, and Ashley and Jeremy McLaughlin; great grandchildren, Elliott Teston, Asa Denny, and Rhett Crockett; sister-in-law, Cisti Everett; special cousin, Esta Ogle; special niece and husband, Tina and Carlos Horne; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Becky's nephews and great-nephews will be serving as pallbearers. Family and friends will meet Monday, May 30, 2016 at Pleasant Forest Cemetery (Concord Road, Farragut) for a 2:00 PM service and interment with her son-in-law, Mark Morgan, officiating. Kevin Bradley Knoxville, TN Kevin James Bradley, age 27, of Knoxville, died suddenly Wednesday, May 25, 2016. Preceded in death by grandmothers, Mary Stoffell Purnell and Nellie M. Bradley; grandfather, Earl M. Bradley; uncle, Joseph D. Bradley; mother, Karen P. Bradley and cousin, Brad Estes. Kevin grew up in the Fountain City area and was the kind of man anyone would be proud to know and call a friend. Kevin was the owner of a landscaping business and enjoyed making the world a more beautiful place, not only through his business but with his kind heart and lively personality. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, being on the lake and spending time with family, friends and his cat, Grizzley. Kevin is survived by his fiancée, Jessica D. Bell; father, James A. and (Kathy) Bradley; brothers, Derek A. Bradley, Adam P. Bradley; nieces, Savannah Bradley and Alexis Belanger; siblings, Sheila Fox and Korbin. Donald Canter Knoxville, TN Donald (Don) L. Canter, of Knoxville, formerly of Morristown, Crossville and Loudon, passed away suddenly on Sunday morning, May 29, 2016. Don was real estate executive with Realty Executives for many years. At the age of 30, he was the youngest bank president in the State of Tennessee. Don was the composer and singer of The Battle Song (Tricky Dickey). He was an avid Vol fan. Don is preceded in death by his parents, Cecil Canter and Mary Lynn Talley Canter. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Billie Kennedy Canter; children, David L. (Angel) Canter of Knoxville, Angie (Stratton) Hunter of Hendersonville, North Carolina; grandchildren, Matthew Canter, Adam (Jennifer) Canter, Sarah Canter; great-grand-angel, Michelle Canter; beloved dog, Jesse James. Evelyn Carden Clinton, TN Evelyn Martha Fielden Carden, age 89, of Clinton, passed away May 29, 2016. She was a member of South Clinton Baptist Church and owner of Woodhaven Mobile Home Park in Clinton. She enjoyed working in the office and mostly spending time and holidays with her family. Preceded in death by husband Billy B. Carden; parents, Bill (Lily) Fielden and Julia Fielden; brothers, Ray Fielden of Knoxville, Paul Fielden, and Ken Fielden, both of Pontiac, MI; sisters, Beulah Loy and Georgie Hall. Margie S. Cowell Knoxville, TN Margie Sue Cowell, age 66, of Knoxville, died on May 28, 2016. She was born in Jackson, TN on April 26, 1950. Margie was a faithful and much beloved member of New Covenant Fellowship where she served regularly in their food pantry. She had the gift of encouragement and often sent cards and made phone calls to those in need of support or comfort. In recent years, she resided at Park Place Independent Living where she continued to make friends among both the staff and residents. She was devoted mother, loving sister, and encouraging aunt. She was an avid reader, especially of Christian literature and was always eager to share a book from her cherished library. Despite various physical limitations, she was a faithful friend to many, but she also served those outside her circle of friends with enthusiasm, never knowing a stranger. Margie graduated from Powell High School in 1968 and then from the University of Tennessee, earning a Master of Education. She then taught conscientiously at Tennessee School of the Deaf for 25 years. Margie was preceded in death by her parents, Delbert and Wilma Cowell; and her nephew, Brian Paul Cowell. She is survived by her daughters, Tina Michelle Cowell and Michelle LeAnne Cowell; her brother, William Paul Cowell (Jean); her sister, Joyce Helen Cowell Bell (Lee); her nephew, Kevin Warren Cowell (Vicki); her nieces, Susan Bell Strange (Matthew) and Amy Bell Spiegel (Jim); as well as many great nephews and nieces. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 31 at New Covenant Fellowship, 6820 Central Avenue Pike, Knoxville, TN 37918, at 7:00 p.m. with Reverend Russ Porcella and Reverend Paul Cowell presiding. Family and friends will meet for a graveside service at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, June 1 at Greenwood Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Gregory Crisp, Sr. Powell, TN Gregory Eugene Crisp, Sr., age 54, of Powell, rode into Heaven on May 26, 2016. Greg was born on March 6, 1962, to Bill and Barbara Crisp, and was a hard working and humble man. He was a dedicated father, grandfather, and loved his time spent at the racetrack. Preceded in death by his wife of 30 years, Debbie Welch Crisp; and father, Bill Crisp. Eleanor Davis Blaine, TN Eleanor Norton Davis, age 91, of Blaine, TN, passed away peacefully May 28, 2016. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralla and Pearl Norton; brother, Stanley Norton; and her husband of 65 years, Parke Andrew Davis. Eleanor is survived by her children, Anthony (Kristy) Davis, Jeffrey Wayne Davis, and Mary Jane Davis; grandchildren, Leah Celeste Davis, Kaysie Marie Davis, Paisley Grace Davis, and Kyle (Leanna) Miller; great-grandchildren, Joseph and Breelyn Miller; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces/nephews; and great-great-nieces/nephews. Gallaher Sr., Richard Ballou - Knoxville  
Richard Ballou Gallaher, Sr. Knoxville, TN Richard Ballou Gallaher, Sr., age 93, left this world in the early hours of Wednesday, May 25, 2016, to live eternally with his Lord Jesus Christ. He was born August 20, 1922, to the late Ben Van Leer Gallaher and Helen Ballou Gallaher of Harriman, Tennessee. Richard was a deeply committed Christian and spent his life serving the Lord. Richard's home life was centered on the church and its work in the mission field at home and abroad. He was loved and respected by all who knew him. Richard spent three years with the United States Army of Engineers during World War II, serving two years in the United States and one year overseas in Europe, the Philippines, and Japan. Richard returned to the University of Tennessee and graduated in 1948 with a master's degree in chemical engineering; he was a member of Tau Beta Pi. He thoroughly enjoyed his work with advanced nuclear reactors at Oak Ridge National Lab as a Development Engineer in the Technology Division. Richard received his Professional Engineer's license in 1975. Richard realized God had truly blessed his life and thanked God daily for His love and his loving family. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Helen Gallaher; sister, Margaret Gallaher Rives; brother-in-law, Sydney Rives; and son-in-law Jim Burns. He is survived by his beloved wife of seventy-two years, Margaret (Margie) Gallaher; son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Linda Gallaher, Jr.; daughter, Jean Van Leer Gallaher Burns; grandchildren Benjamin Gallaher and wife Sarah, Samuel Gallaher and wife Laura, Michael Burns and wife Sayward Lee and former wife Wendy; great-grandchildren Caleb, Abigail, Brittany, and Eliahana; and great-great-grandchildren Brynlee and, coming soon, Kasen. Funeral service will be held 2:30 PM, Tuesday, at Rose Mortuary Mann Heritage Chapel with Reverend Rick Dunn and Mr. Phil Sartell. Family and friends will meet at Oak Ridge Memorial Park following the funeral service for a graveside service will full military honors by East Tennessee Veterans' Honor Guard. Wilma Hamilton Lake City, TN Wilma Marie Davis Hamilton, age 91, of Lake City, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, May 27, 2016 at the Methodist Medical Center. Wilma was born on December 29, 1924 in Anderson County, Tennessee to the late Noal and Stella Freels Davis. Wilma was a member of Pine Hill Baptist Church. She loved working with her flowers. Wilma was employed at Y-12 during the war and had interesting stories about this time, as well as growing up during the Great Depression. She was the family caregiver as her parents and brothers and husband became ill. In earlier yeas, she enjoyed gardening and sharing from her garden with family and friends. In addition to her parents, Wilma is preceded in death by husband, Claude Hamilton; infant sister, Lenoria; sister, Hazel Lovelace; brothers, Edward, Everette, Rosco, Cleo, and James Davis; nephew, Steve Davis; and niece, Janet Davis. Survivors: several nieces, nephews and several other family members and friends. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses and staff of the fifth floor at the Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge for their kindness and gentle care.
