Eva Wilburn Obituary

WILBURN, EVA MAE age 90, a resident of Greenfield of Oak Ridge, passed away Wednesday, February 01, 2012. She was born March 12, 1921 in Madisonville, the daughter of Earnest and Lucinda Lou Crease Atkins. Mrs. Wilburn was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed quilting, working in her yard and shopping. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Ira "Babe" Eugene Wilburn; son, James Dale Wilburn; grandson, Thomas Lee Fortner II; and great granddaughter, Samantha Cooper. She is survived by daughter, June Seyfried and husband Bob of Oak Ridge; daughter-in-law, Juanita Wilburn of Edgewater, MD; brother, Clinton Atkins and wife Marie of East Peoria, IL; sister, Reva Holcomb of East Peoria, IL; grandchildren, Tina Anderson and husband Johnnie and Donald Fortner, all of Oak Ridge; Tammy Ruff and husband Jason of Jacksonville, NC and Jimmy Wilburn of Frederick, MD; great-grandchildren, Seth Owens, Eugene Fortner, Heather Fortner, Nicole Taylor, James Fortner, Kari Fortner, Chip Ruff, Jason Ruff, James Wilburn and Amanda Wilburn and numerous great-great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Friday, February 3, 2012 from 11:00 am -12:00 pm at Weatherford Mortuary. The funeral will follow at 12:00 pm with Dr. Steve McDonald officiating. Friends and family will meet at 3:00 pm for a graveside service at Haven Hill Memorial Gardens in Madisonville, TN. The family asks that any memorials be in the form of contributions to Alzheimer's, TN. An on-line guestbook can be signed at www.weatherfordmortuary.com.
