Lanier Brandau Obituary

Lanier S. Brandau

Caryville, TN

Lanier S. "Buddy" Brandau, age 78, died peacefully on November 20, 2017 surrounded by loving family. Buddy will best be remembered for his steady and kind nature and how proud he was of his family. He was hard working and retired after 45 years of dedicated service to the insurance profession. Buddy was preceded in death by his parents, Alexander and Dorothy Brandau. He is survived and will be deeply missed by his beloved wife of 45 years, Dianne Brandau; son, Michael Lanier and wife Stacey; daughter, Linda Brandau Holtzclaw and husband Steven; grandchildren, Taylor Brandau, Dylan Brandau, Caty Davis, Taylor Davis, Reese Brandau, Sara Holtzclaw Smyth and husband Nick, Michael Holtzclaw, and Kayla Holtzclaw; brother, Alexander "Sonny" Brandau; sister, Dottie Patterson and husband Gene; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; and last but certainly not least, his precious four-legged companion, "P."

The family will Receive Friends at Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd on Friday, November 24th from 10-11 am. The Funeral Service will follow with Rev. Dorrie Pratt officiating. We will meet at Woodlawn Cemetery that afternoon at 1 pm for the Graveside Service. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to a charity of your choice in his memory. Gentry Griffey Funeral Chapel is honored to serve the Brandau family and invites you to view and sign their online guestbook at gentrygriffey.com.
