Louise Summitt Heiskell

HEISKELL, LOUISE SUMMITT - age 90, of Sweetwater, passed away on Wednesday December 22, 2010, at Sweetwater Hospital. Born in Claremore, Oklahoma, the family moved back to Monroe County in 1922. Louise graduated from Vonore High School and received her teaching certificate from LMU and taught at Lakeside Elementary for 2 years. After 35 years of service in management, she retired from Wright Hardware in Sweetwater. She was a member of the Sweetwater First United Methodist Church where she served as a Sunday school teacher and was very active in the United Methodist Women, and was a leader in the Monroe County 4H club. She lived the last five years at NHC Place in Farragut. Preceded in death by her husband: E.B. Heiskell, Jr.; parents: Lee and Dora Summitt; sister: Janetta S. Trotter; nephews: David Lee Holder, Charles Joseph Hall. Survivors include sisters: Lorene S. Hall, of Knoxville, Maxine S. Holder, of Crossville; sister-in-law Mildred Heiskell of Sweetwater; nieces and spouses: Carolyn and Michael Bowman, of Knoxville, Susanne and Michael Anderson, of Hixson, TN; nephews and spouses: Jim and Mandy Holder, of Cleveland, Tommy and Tammy Holder, of Rogersville, Jimmy and Linda Heiskell, of Kingston; very special friend: Emily Davis and family, of Vonore. The family would like to express special appreciation to Dr. Eric Poston and staff, and to Stephen's minister Carol Yont and husband Leon of Farragut Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends on Sunday January 2, 2011 from 2:00P.M. until 3:00P.M. at Kyker Funeral Home, Sweetwater with a memorial service to follow at 3:00P.M. in Kyker's Chapel with Rev.
