James Rankin Blankenship

BLANKENSHIP, JAMES RANKIN - age 89 of Greenback passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2011. He was a member of Axley's Chapel United Methodist Church. Rankin was a veteran of W. W. II serving in the U. S. Army. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Elizabeth Blankenship; parents, William Virgil Blankenship and Mary Adella Bryant Blankenship; brothers, Ben and Erskine Blankenship. Survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Virginia Blankenship of Greenback; daughter, Kathy Greene of Loudon; brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Virginia Jo Blankenship of Maryville; grandchildren, Ashley Hundley and husband, Tim of Friendsville, Brian Bevins and wife, Sarah of Loudon, Christy Clauss and husband, Ernest of Greenback; several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Friday at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Rich Karns officiating.
