James Blankenship Obituary

BLANKENSHIP, JAMES RANKIN - age 89 of Greenback passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2011. He was a member of Axley's Chapel United Methodist Church. Rankin was a veteran of W. W. II serving in the U. S. Army. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Elizabeth Blankenship; parents, William Virgil Blankenship and Mary Adella Bryant Blankenship; brothers, Ben and Erskine Blankenship. Survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Virginia Blankenship of Greenback; daughter, Kathy Greene of Loudon; brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Virginia Jo Blankenship of Maryville; grandchildren, Ashley Hundley and husband, Tim of Friendsville, Brian Bevins and wife, Sarah of Loudon, Christy Clauss and husband, Ernest of Greenback; several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Friday at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Rich Karns officiating. Burial will follow in the Loudon Co. Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Axley's Chapel United Methodist Church, 27930 Axleys Chapel Road, Greenback, TN 37742.
