George Cavalaris

Knoxville, TN

George D. Cavalaris, age 84, was born on January 14, 1932, and passed away on April 1, 2016. George was proud of his Greek heritage. In his working days, he enjoyed serving customers, especially in his delicatessen. He also enjoyed promoting wrestling matches. He believed in Jesus and frequently watched the televised First Baptist Church service.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles D. Cavalaris, Sr. and Vera Rankin Cavalaris; his sister, Mary Evelyn Ammons, his brothers, James D. Cavalaris and Charles D. Cavalaris, Jr.; brother-in-law, Ralph Ammons; and sister-in-law, Margaret Cavalaris. He is survived by nephews, Hank Ammons, Chuck Cavalaris and Mark Cavalaris; nieces, Becky Ammons, Kristy Bush, Cynthia Johnson, Tere McDonough and Julie Stooksbury; sisters-in-law, Jan Cavalaris and Barbara Cavalaris; and extended family members. He also leaves behind special friend, Paula Davis. The family is grateful to Paula and George's other close friends for their love and kindness. A private memorial service will be held on April 5 with Rev. Dave Ward officiating. Click Funeral Home and Cremations – Middlebrook Chapel is serving the Cavalaris family. Condolences may be left online for the family at www.clickfh.com.
