Mark Wignall Obituary

ANGOLA - Mark Joseph Wignall, age 61, of Angola, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, Aug, 8, 2018, at his home.

Mark was born on April 17, 1957, in Merrillville, Indiana, the son of Ray and Isabel (Schmelter) Wignall; they preceded him in death.

He grew up in in Hobart, Indiana, and graduated from Hobart High School, and later graduated from Valparaiso Technical Institute.

Mark was an electrical engineer and worked for several power plants in the Midwest, and had just recently retired.

He enjoyed traveling, playing golf, spending time with his family, fishing, and firearms. He was a fan of the Chicago Cubs and Notre Dame.

Survivors include his sons, Matthew Wignall of Angola, Indiana, and Raymond (Charlotte) Wignall of Aurora, Illinois; a stepson, Chris Misner of Kendallville; a brother, Eric Wignall of Valparaiso, Indiana; a sister, Jan (Mike) Lands of Denton, Texas; and an honorary brother, John "JJ" Woolcot of Pahrump, Nevada.

Following his wishes, cremation will take place.

Private family services will be held at a later time.

Memorial donations in his memory are requested to the Community Humane Shelter of Steuben County, P.O. Box 204, Angola, IN 46703.
