George McGillivray Obituary
George E. McGillivray, 70, of Pleasant Prairie, WI died Saturday, June 4, 2016 at St. Catherine's Hospital in Kenosha, WI. George was born October 9, 1945 in Waukegan, IL and was a life long resident of Winthrop Harbor and Zion. He graduated from Zion Benton Township High School in 1963 and was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church in Zion. He served in the United States Marine Corps from June 1963 until October 1966. George was a member of Carpenters Union Local 250, Zion-Benton Moose Lodge, and Twisting Dukes Car Club. Survivors include his wife, Margaret L. (Nee Cowart); children, George E. (Mary) McGillivray Jr. and his son, Devin McGillivray; Denise McGillivray and her son, Lukas McGillivray; and Richard McGillivray and his children, Richard McGillivray Jr. and Camron McGillivray; siblings, James D. McGillivray, Richard A. McGillivray, and RuthAnn (nee McGillivray) Martin; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Ruth A. McGillivray; brother, Clifton; 4 brothers-in-law; and 4 sisters-in-law. A visitation will be held Thursday, June 9, 2016 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion. Interment will be private for the family at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Union Grove, WI.
