Edna Farmer Obituary
BREMEN: Edna Frances Farmer, 91, of Bremen, died Wednesday, June 25, 2014 in Lancaster. She was born August 12, 1922 in Obetz, Ohio to the late Leslie M. and Jennie M. (Rapp) Wiseman.
She graduated from Hamilton Township High School in 1940. She taught Hawaiian guitar and was an office clerk and compiler. She married the Rev. Orville "Jack" Francis Farmer in 1946. They had two children who are deceased: Frances Ann, 1967 and Thomas William, 2010; also deceased are half-sister, Margaret M. (Wiseman) Smith; and half-brothers, Cecil Latrell and Clarence Wiseman. Edna enjoyed working with her pastor-husband in the churches from 1957 until his retirement in 1981, when they moved to their "own home - the house that Jack built called Oakydoaky." They were members of Bremen First United Methodist Church, Rushcreek Grange and Bremen Senior Citizens. After Jack's death in 2002, Edna continued living at Oakydoaky until 2010.
Visitation will take place on Monday, June 30 from 4 - 7 PM at the Morgan Funeral Home, Bremen. Funeral services will follow at 7 PM with Rev. Joe Chrisman officiating. Cremation to follow with burial at Grandview Cemetery at a later time.
